Capri Revisited. Peter Sternäng shows his paintings at Villa San Michele from May 21 to June 3
Starting May 21, the Swedish painter Peter Sternäng will exhibit a choice of aquarelles, woodcuts and iPad-paintings at Villa San Michele in an exhibition called Capri Revisited.
All the works have been created during Peter Sternängs artist residence in the enchanted Villa of Axel Munthe. The view over the bay of Naples at all times and in all different lights, turists on the beach and ferries slowly moving on the sea in the night, all of this inspired the artist to paint.
”The motif became my motive,” as Peter Sternäng expressed it himself in a recent article in the magazine Romhorisont.
