Friday July 19, 8 p.m at Villa San Michele

On Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m., the fourth event of the concert series “A Summer to Dream” will take place at Villa San Michele.
On the panoramic terrace, saxophonist Theo Hillborg and pianist Julia Isaksson will pay tribute to various composers, ranging from jazz to classical to contemporary genres. Despite their youth, the two musicians boast prestigious awards, such as the Young and Promising 2021 Prize from the Swedish National Chamber Music Association.

Theo Hillborg and Julia Isaksson met in 2017 while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. The duo has already developed an extensive repertoire and performed both in Sweden and abroad. With their music, they aim to think outside the box and enjoy mixing different genres such as folk, jazz, classical, and modern music.

“The duo Julia & Theo will be able to please all the tastes of our diverse audience,” stresses Villa San Michele's intendent Kristina Kappelin. “The program will range from the works of such composers as Chick Corea, Alessandro Marcello, and Takashi Yoshimatsu, to name a few, and it will be a beautiful new show.”

The concert series will continue every Friday until August 9, with musical guidance from Bo Löfvendahl, supported by Progetto Piano and the patronage of the Embassy of Sweden.

Due to high demand, reservations are essential. Tickets (concert price €20.00; reduced price for children and students €10.00) can be purchased at the box office half an hour before the event or in advance daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
